Mere months after Justin Bieber, who split from Selena Gomez in March, was romantically linked with model Baskin Champion and Hailey Baldwin shut down rumours she was seeing singer Shawn Mendes after she walked the Met Gala red carpet on his arm in May, the pair have been spotted spending alone time together in Miami, Florida.
Rumours that Bieber, 24, and Baldwin, 21, who briefly dated back in 2015, were once again an item surfaced this week when the two spent the weekend together attending a VOUS church conference and heading out to restaurants and clubs hand-in-hand.
"Once he got to Miami, Justin and Hailey were together the entire time," a source confirmed with E! News. "They attended the VOUS conference all day and then hung out together every night."
The pair reportedly went out for dinner at Casa Tua on the Saturday night, then partied at Liv Nightclub before leaving together at 3am and heading to Bieber's hotel. If this photo of the two of them standing awfully close to each other on a hotel balcony is anything to go by, we can't say we're not intrigued.
"There was no outward PDA between Justin and Hailey when there were cameras around, but they spent all their time together and were inseparable the entire weekend," another source told E! News. "Inside the club they were dancing and he had his arm around her many times. They seem very close and comfortable together."
This news comes just weeks after the model confirmed in an interview with The Times UK that while she acknowledges Mendes is "super-lovely and a very, very nice young gentleman," she is in fact single.
Baldwin went on to reflect on her pats relationship with Bieber, adding that "Justin and I were friends for a long time. I met him when I was really young and he was one of my best friends. Everybody knows that at a certain point in time that turned into something else, but that just happens when you're 18, 19. It was what it was."
"We went through a long period of time when we weren't friends," said Baldwin. "We didn't speak for quite some time and there was a lot of weirdness that went on. We've moved past that."
And while they've definitely made that clear, we are once again left asking the age old question: "Are they? Or aren't they?" Only time will tell.
