Former NFL player turned private chef Eddie Jackson. He’s a man of many talents and.The 33-year-old Houston native is the recent Season 11 winner of “Food Network Star.” His healthy eats with a bold Caribbean flare along with his charm and love for the camera helped bring him out on top.
Now, he’s set to host his very show on the Food Network titled “BBQ Blitz,” which premieres this Friday, October 9th at 10:30/9:30c. So mark those calendars.
He caught our eye on “The Chew” today, so we had to bring you this fresh meat face and put the spotlight on the super talented private chef.
After attending the University of Arkansas, Eddie joined the NFL in 2004 when the Carolina Panthers signed him as an undrafted free agent. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins soon after where he tore his ACL in 2006 and wasn’t re-signed. He tried to make a comeback in 2008, but realized he wasn’t the same after his knee injury, so life led him down another career path. Cooking!
