On Friday, several Kenyans were forced to spend a night on the road after the police blocked the Thika Superhighway. According to the officers, the motorists were outside their homes past curfew hours and had to spend the night along the highway.
The move by the police seems to have irked Jalang'o who asked Kenyans to raise and rebuke the action by the police.
Jalang'o asked Kenyans to accept that they are on their own and need to act on the matter as soon as possible.
"We must accept that we are on our own and nobody cares about what we are going through and if we can't do something now nothing will change!" He said.
The radio host noted that blocking roads had nothing to do with controlling the spread of Covid-19. He said the blockage had negatives impacts on citizens.
"So Mr. President announces an 8 pm curfew and we accept but as we rush to beat the curfew time the roads are blocked!! In that traffic there are essential services providers, we have sick people we have people who are honestly just going home but have been caught off guard! What does blocking the roads help in reducing corona?" Jalang'o asked.

He further wondered if the police are aware that the people they block on the road are the same ones who pay their salaries by paying taxes.
"Do you even care that these people you are blocking to go home are out here husting to have your salaries paid? Do you know without them paying taxes you would not have your salaries that are giving you that opportunity to choose whatever you want to eat in that buffet in the middle of a pandemic!" He added.
According to Jalang'o, Kenyans are using the last minutes to the curfew time to try and make an extra shilling, therefore, they should not be blocked on the road.
